For over 40 years, hundreds of Daddy Long Leg spiders have kept a watchful eye over some slowly maturing wine. In 1984, 15 barrels of very old, fortified wine were set aside and left to slowly mature, only topped up when necessary, using the same carefully aged wine.
Only two barrels remain.
With an average age of over fifty years, the wine is wonderfully rich and concentrated, hand bottled as required, and released only in 100mL quantities, making it one of Australia’s most expensive fortifieds.
With a name like The Daddy Long Legs, its potential was begging to be realised.
Glass Print Solutions were pleased to once again join forces with Voice to be a part of creating the decadent packaging for this truly decadent wine. The Daddy Long Legs sits in a unique metal stand, inside a distinctive box, and the tiny, unusually-shaped bottle at the heart of the whole package was screen printed by our team.
The Daddy Long Legs Extra Rare NV is available exclusively from the d’Arenberg Cube cellar door in McLaren Vale, South Australia.
