How can we help you?
- Can you adapt my existing paper label to suit screen printing?
We sure can! We can also adapt your existing 750ml label to suit larger format bottles. Design services start from $130.
- Can you arrange delivery?
To keep costs down we recommend that you use your regular freight company to deliver and collect stock from us. Just let us know if any documentation is needed on the boxes or pallets and we’ll do this for you.
However, if you don’t have a regular freight company we’re happy to provide a quote for you. Unfortunately as we aren’t regular freight uses ourselves this often means our rates can be higher.
- Can you do sample print runs?
Yes, we require at least 12 of your bottles to provide a sample print run. Our minimum fee for a one colour sample print run is $250 (plus GST, maximum of 24 of the same bottle type)
- Can you etch onto glass?
No - we screen print artwork onto glassware and bottles and do not provide etching or engraving services. However, we can print your artwork in a semi-transparent white ink we call 'Etch Imitation', which mimics the frosted look of traditional etching.
- Can you print a standard pour line onto my glassware?
Yes, we stock several glasses which lend themselves to printing standard 150ml or 125ml pour lines, and this is usually achieved by positioning the glass artwork at the right height on the glass for the pour required.
However, the shape and size of some glasses makes printing a standard plimsol line impossible. We like to view customer-supplied glassware prior to order confirmation to check that any required artwork positioning is achieveable.
For information on the printable areas of some of our most popular glasses, download an Artwork Spec Sheet from the Glassware section of this website.
- Can you print any bottle shape?
We specialise in cylindrical containers and cannot print on square shaped bottles or flat surfaces. Reverse taper, claret or burgundy bottles all print well. Other bottle shapes are possible but may require specific artwork manipulation to get the best results. Please email us an image of your bottle or the bottle specifications if you would like us to provide design advice.
- Can you print designs with multiple colours?
Yes we can, however the quality of the glass bottle and your artwork design will determine how successful this is. We may request to see a sample of the glass bottle as well as the design prior to printing so we can advise if any artwork changes are needed to ensure a perfect label.
Each colour is printed separately using a screen printing process so the more complicated the design and colours the more time consuming and costly the final label may be.
We are unable to print multiple colours on glassware and carafes.
- Can you print on bottles that have been filled?
Yes - our process is heat-free and our facility is temperature-controlled, so we can ensure your product remains at a constant temperature.
- Can you print on carafes and decanters?
We are unable to print on decanters due to their curvy shape. We can print on some carafes with a relatively cylindrical shape - please contact us to confirm whether your carafes are suitable for printing. The minimum print quantity for carafes is 72.
- Can you print on glassware I supply myself?
In most cases we can, however customer supplied glassware must be viewed to confirm print suitability prior to order confirmation. Glass breakages sometimes occur during our printing process, unfortunately Glass Print cannot replace any breakages for customer supplied glassware.
- Can you print on plastic bottles and drinkware?
We are unable to print on plastic.
- Does it cost extra for a back label?
No, our process allows us to print both the front and back label at the same time (unless they’re in different colours) so the cost remains the same.
- How long does printing take?
As our process does not use any heat to cure the ink we need to let your bottles air dry for at least 3 days after printing. In total, once the bottles arrive in our facility and the artwork is approved, we can print and repack your bottles within 2 weeks.
- How much does screenprinting cost?
Our large bottle printing prices are based on a sliding scale which means as your order quantity increases our print per unit cost decreases. Once orders exceed 768 units you can expect to pay approximately $1.10 (plus GST) per unit for a one colour screen printed design on a 750ml bottle.
Pricing for cosmetics bottles and jars under 375ml remains the same regardless of quantity and is approximately $1.10 (plus GST) per unit for a one colour screen printed design.
Glassware printing starts from $1.10 (plus GST) per stem for a single-colour, single-sided print. Glassware may be supplied by the customer, or purchased from Glass Print for an extra cost. More details on our range of glassware can be found on our Glassware page.
All orders incur a machine set-up fee of $55 (plus GST). This fee allows us to create a printing screen and prepare the machine for your order. This fee applies to each colour run (2 colours = 2 set up fees).
An artwork fee of $40 (plus GST) is charged when artwork is new or different from previous orders, and covers optimising the art for screen printing and the creation of film, which will be kept on file for future use.
Professional design development with our graphic design team starts from $65 per hour (plus GST), and we have tailored design packages available from $130 (plus GST).
Please contact us via email or phone to arrange an accurate quote based on your own situation. Minimum quantities apply for all orders - more details can be found on our FAQs page.
- How quickly can you print a sample for me?
Depending on our schedule we are usually able to complete sample print runs within 3 to 4 weeks
- How small can you print type?
Although we are able to get a reasonable amount of fine detail in our finished prints, we do find typefaces tend to fill in a bit at smaller sizes, or when reversed out. It depends on the typeface, but a nice rule of thumb is to keep all type above 6 point in order to ensure its legibility. As the artwork tends to thin out a bit when we expose the screen, it also pays to steer clear of extra skinny typefaces, or ones with a great deal of contrast.
- I have an urgent order to fill - can you help me?
Of course! Just gives us a call now to discuss your situation and we’ll let you know if we can print your order in the timeline needed. We’ve been known to move mountains to get orders out in time!

- What format do you need the artwork sent in?
Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or high quality PDF.
All artwork (including any linked files) should be created as solid black (100% black) and white, no grey scale or colours. You can send through a colour visual of the artwork design for our reference but we will also require the correct format as listed above.
When sending an Illustrator file please convert all type to ‘outlines’ as we may not have your specific typefaces on our system. Also let us know the name of the typefaces used so we can match these if additional text is required or changes needed.
Please ensure that any linked files (such as TIFs or JPEGs) are included along with your artwork file.
- What ink colours can you print?

Artwork can be wrapped around almost the entire circumference of the bottle, with a gap of about 10-15mm required. Each colour can be staggered to create a design that wraps around the whole bottle.
